Why Work with CoLab?

CoLab is a dynamic, multi-agency wellbeing hub located in the heart of Exeter’s cathedral city. We’re proud to be an integral part of our local community, a place where individuals and organisations come together to create the conditions for people to lead their best lives and do their best work.

If you’re a compassionate and committed individual looking to make a real difference, we invite you to explore opportunities to join our friendly, values-driven team and be part of something meaningful.

Adult Sexual Exploitation (ASE) Development Lead

For the past 8 years, CoLab Exeter has been at the forefront of raising awareness of the prevalence of adult sexual exploitation through our work supporting women experiencing multiple disadvantage.   We have carried out research, produced a toolkit and trained staff in order to support agencies to recognise and respond to this largely hidden and misunderstood issue.

We have now secured funding for 12 months to create a role that will take this work forward, continuing to work with partners and system stakeholders, assess need, create learning packages and creating recommendations for embedding the work across health, social care and other parts of the system.

The role will be based at CoLab Exeter but will work across the county to ensure that both urban and rural communities are included.

Brave Spaces Domestic Abuse Project Worker

CoLab Women has been supporting women in Exeter since 2017, creating positive pathways for those who face the greatest barriers to accessing help. We work with women who experience multiple disadvantage, including domestic and sexual violence and abuse, homelessness, trauma, poverty, mental health challenges, substance use, and involvement with the criminal justice system.

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and proactive Project Worker to provide trauma-informed, wraparound support to women affected by domestic abuse and multiple disadvantage. This role focuses on supporting women with complex needs - including homelessness or insecure housing, sexual violence, mental health challenges, substance use, poverty, and criminal justice involvement - through trusted relationships, practical support, and coordinated access to services. Working as part of the Brave Spaces team and wider Devon Domestic Abuse Alliance, the postholder will support women through one-to-one work, group activity, and accommodation-based support, helping them to reduce risk, increase stability, and move forward at their own pace.
