Social Innovation through Partnership

Colab Exeter is an integrated wellbeing and innovation hub that works in collaboration with agencies across sectors to strengthen local services and achieve positive whole community outcomes around homelessness, addiction, (re)offending, and health inequality.

Collectively, our work focuses on the following four themes:

Working towards sustainable, whole-person recovery from drug or alcohol dependence, or from mental ill-health

Supporting the homeless and vulnerably housed towards affordable and sustainable housing solutions and reconnecting people who have become socially isolated

Promoting rehabilitation into the community for those on the justice pathway

Promoting health and wellbeing as a tool for informing better lifestyle choices, and improving individual resilience and recovery

Collaboration in Action

Coffee@CoLab Crowdfunder; Skills, Recovery and Coffee!

So far we have raised just over £1000 towards our £1,800 target... Pledge to support our new enterprise here

Unfortunately our Atrium is not as comfortable as we would like to be, it feels more institutional than we would like.

We want to change our offer so that we can provide a more comfortable and welcoming space, serve nice coffee and provide an opportunity for people, who might struggle otherwise, to have some work experience. We aim to create volunteer opportunities and provide training and coaching (in food hygiene, customer service etc) for people who may not get a chance otherwise.

We work with some of the most stigmatised groups - recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, offending backgrounds, experiencing ill mental health - who often struggle to gain work experience or have opportunities to use their time in a meaningful way.

Coffee@Colab will provide this opportunity.

Pledge towards our Crowdfunding campaign now...
