CoLab Exeter – Our Commitment to Trans Inclusivity
At CoLab, we are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone, including people who are transgender, non-binary or gender diverse. We respect each person’s identity and expression, and we work to ensure our services affirm dignity, safety and equal access for all.
We know that trans people often face additional barriers, stigma and risks, particularly around homelessness, health, and safety. Our approach is rooted in compassion, equality and trauma-informed practice. This means:
Respecting and affirming identity – using inclusive language, pronouns and behaviours so people feel seen and valued.
Ensuring safe, accessible services – trans people can access any of our services without fear of exclusion or discrimination.
Zero tolerance for discrimination – we will not accept harassment, victimisation or discrimination of any kind.
Ongoing learning and advocacy – we continue to listen, learn and stand alongside trans and non-binary people in shaping services and tackling inequality.
We believe that everyone deserves dignity, safety and access to support, and we will keep working to remove barriers and champion inclusivity.
